Meet Dr. Shontina Gladney,

Dr. Shontina Gladney is a Milwaukee Native, born and raised in the 53206  zip code, and grew up in a single-parent household.  She is married to her best friend, has two daughters, one granddaughter, and an extended family that she cherishes with her husband.   

Dr. Shontina is a high-performance Master Lifestyle Coach who is passionate about educating individuals and the community regarding the power of non-traditional business models, collaboration, collaborative economics, and why it's important to make a living while living.   

Dr. Gladney created The Entrepreneurs Society, powered by SGGN Group because she discovered there were many entrepreneurs who are on an island by themselves.   She knows firsthand that life is too short to build a business, and legacy that you will never have the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of your labor.   

Dr. Gladney has faced many life challenges, including incarceration and battling stage two breast cancer twice to name a few, with unimaginable poise and perseverance.  

Dr. Gladney received her honorary Doctorate on June 4, 2022, from TIUA School Of Business, GA., gained her first Coaching certification from the Professional Women's Network in 2005 specializing in Women's Issues and Diversity and earned a Business Coaching Certification from TIUA School of Business, GA. 2022.  Dr. Gladney was invited to the Forbes Coaching Council in 2016 and accepted.   

Dr. Gladney received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in 2023.

Dr. Gladney was nominated by SCORE Mentors of Wisconsin, as the 2023 Entrepreneur of the Year. 

Dr. Gladney was nominated as a biographical candidate to represent Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, and Professionals from the State of Wisconsin in the publication Who's Who in America?  On November 30, 2021, her candidacy was approved. 

Dr. Gladney is an expert at bridging mutually beneficial relationships, that form transparent, impactful, and inclusive alliances that benefit all involved. 

Dr. Gladney is the creator and brainchild behind My City My Biz Expo, the largest emerging business expo in the State of Wisconsin that showcase hobbyist, artists, and local and youth entrepreneurs.

Her marketing firm is within the top 1% of the International Marketing Company she is an independent contractor with, that launched in 2015 with roughly 700 travel agency owners, and before hitting year 9 has grown to over 120,000 agency owners Globally.

She is the inspiration and backbone for providing many platforms for emerging entrepreneurs, micro-businesses and professionals.  Dr. Gladney has donated over 50,000+ coaching hours to her community and assisted over 15,000 aspiring or emerging business owners with marketing, formulating, or starting a business from home.  

She is an International best-selling co-author, and one of her self-published memoirs was created into a stage play.   

Dr. Gladney became the first Licensed African American Auctioneer in the State of Wisconsin.  She serves on many boards and initiatives, as well as she chartered a Toastmasters Club in her community targeting entrepreneurs.  

In 2005 she began building online virtual communities as a way to dream during some very low and rough patches in her life.  Those online communities are now creating a life of their own where professionals gain access to those intimate groups that are training incubators for aspiring and emerging coaches. 

Her passion has always been for children and youth, and many of her philanthropic efforts go into personally mentoring and financially supporting the efforts of organizations and individuals empowering youth with leadership and entrepreneurial skills. 

2021 Dr. Shontina Gladney launched a non-profit, Upsilon Nu Phi, Incorporated.  A Fraternity and Sorority for Entrepreneurs who like to give back and be of service to disadvantaged startup entrepreneurs.  

2021 - 2023 Dr. Shontina Gladney was sought out by Bayshore Mall to host her annual conference and to set up a Holiday marketplace.  After discussions, while battling stage two breast cancer Dr. Gladney knew this would be an opportunity to once again position emerging entrepreneurs to collaborate and win.   The Collective Marketplace and The Collective Workspace were born.    Dr. Shontina signed a lease to an 11,000-square-foot property and is building a Universe as she calls it, for entrepreneurs and the community who loves them!  

Dr. Gladney knows firsthand the frustrations and mistakes that can happen while attempting to build a dream by yourself, and she has made it her life mission to coach others on how to climb the ladder of success without kicking it down behind them. 

Our team and society have proven to transform mindsets and reshape beliefs on what can be achieved when you have a trusted tribe who collaborates with a common goal and mission, but also puts enjoying life and having gratitude for one another at the forefront.  Welcome home!
